Our all new innovative design that will greatly help you with your night time driving pleasure.

BA20D headlamp LED suitable for all 6, 12 and 24 volt vehicles with DC electrical systems. These are NOT suitable for AC systems. They are also not suitable for Tripod style headlamps as the centre cap of the tripod blocks the beam from these LEDs.

No polarity issues as they are suitable for negative and positive earth systems. They have fantastic light output and a very defined level pattern dipped beam with a full bright main beam. These will transform your evening and night time driving experience.

A simple plug and play fitment that is a direct replacement for your existing lamps. The design produces its own focused beam of light so it really does not matter what condition your reflectors are in either. They run cooler than incandescent lamps and draw around 75% less current. When fitting the lamps, ensure the black center line is at the top of the lamp. An Allen Key is provided to allow you to adjust the beam so that it is level by undoing the 2 grub screws, carefully rotating the head of the lamp slightly until you reach the desired level and re-tightening them. Please take care not to over twist the LED and damage the internal connections.

These are available in 2 colour temperatures. 3000 kelvin which is a classic warm white, similar to the incandescents, for a period look. For a more modern look, choose 4300 kelvin which is similar in colour output to a modern halogen lamp. Both are as bright as each other so choose the look you prefer. Total lamp length 75mm. 6mm longer than the incandescent version.

The price is for one LED. Please order how many you need and the colour temperature from the drop down menu above.

12 month warranty on this product.

All prices shown exclude UK or EU VAT which will be added at checkout together with postage where appropriate.

Game changer

Fitted these to my 58 beetle which is still 6 volts. Tried halogen before but not much better than original bulbs. The difference now is clear as night and day. Absolute game changer.

Messerschmitt test drive (in the dark) a fantastic success.

Just got back from a 6 mile trip in the 1959 bubble car fully 'head lighted (& side lighted!) with products from Classic Car LEDs. They are everything claimed, what an improvement, with the added bonus of drawing 60% less current than filament bulbs. It's such a huge range of LEDs offered that an online search can be confusing but never fear, a quick phone call to Classic Car LEDs will soon have you on the right track. I've already got Classic Cars interior dash lamps in the speedo & clock but I wouldn't be surprised if he can supply a main beam warning lamp as well! Highly recommended.

What can I say about this LED main headlight bulb, Bloody Marvellous that what. For years I had been buying cheap (China) led bulbs which where not bad until they blew( usually around 3 weeks) so went back to the old incandescent type but had a massive drain on my battery.I took the plunge and bought one( granted they are expensive) fitted it in minutes and what a difference it makes. Now I’ve informed a few other riders who seem keen on it( Any discount) 😁

Thanks for the review Shane, When using on Scooters you need to ensure you have a DC supply to the headlight as these are not suited to AC systems.

These are absolutely fantastic!!!

I fitted LEDs supplied by Classic Car LEDS to the Zeiss headlights, the CIBIE driving light and to the tail/brake and high-intensity rear lights on my 1929 Blower Bentley. Everything other than the lights on this car is absolutely fantastic. But its lights were all but useless… yet they drew well over 10 amps! Now, the lighting beams are razor sharp on dipped, phenomenal on main… and yet, when the whole lot of them are on, the ammeter is showing only about five amps, well below what the alternator can bang out. So… Duncan: you’re an absolute hero. You’ve given me, for the first time, the confidence to know that, if I do get caught again in a downpour with a less than fully charged battery at night, I won’t be worried stiff that I’ll cause an accident. There aren’t many things that can be improved on WO Bentley’s brilliant creations, but lighting turned out to be one of them!

BA20d (bosch) headlight.

The fact that is the second one of these lights I have purchased should tell you something. They are being used on classic motorcycles the of which the 6V lighting is well known to be notoriously poor by modern standards. These offer a considerable uplift in performance, plus a reduced load thus giving elderly dynamos and electrical systems an easier time. Their wide voltage range (6V-24V) and plus. or neg makes them simply “plug and play”. They are also “per-focused” making them independent of the headlight reflector. Much better that some earlier types which were more like a flood- light that a beam. The only small niggle ( and it really is small) is that they are somewhat voltage sensitive at their low voltage range, if the voltage falls much below 6V they simply don’t work. For example on one of my machines turning the headlight on with the engine stopped, light light works just fine, turn on the ignition and the extra load is is just enough to depress the voltage and light goes out. However having said that why I should want the headlight and ignition on without the engine running? So not really a problem after all.
